For prospective international students applying for the graduate program at CNU...

1. Educational Background

Applicants should hold a bachelor's degree in psychology or a closely related field. Research experience is highly valued, esp. in the field of neuroscience and/or addiction, and both MA and PhD program candidates are welcome. A strong academic foundation and motivation for graduate-level study are essential.

Fluency in Korean is essential for successful participation in graduate coursework, research activities, and academic life in Korea. Applicants must demonstrate Korean proficiency equivalent to TOPIK level 5 or higher at the time of application. Fluency in English is also critical to facilitate communication within our international research community and to support thesis writing and publication in global academic journals.

3. Cultural Aptitude

We expect students to be respectful and adaptable to Korean cultural and academic norms. A sincere interest in engaging with Korean society and contributing to a collaborative, multicultural research environment is vital.
